American Standard Version
And every stroke of the appointed staff, which Jehovah shall lay upon him, shall be with `the sound of' tabrets and harps; and in battles with the brandishing `of his arm' will he fight with them.

Amplified® Bible
And every passing stroke of the staff of punishment {and} doom which the Lord lays upon them shall be to the sound of [Israel's] timbrels and lyres, when in battle He attacks [Assyria] with swinging {and} menacing arms.

Contemporary English Version
He will attack them in battle, and each time he strikes them, it will be to the music of tambourines and harps.

Darby English Version
And wherever shall pass the appointed staff, which Jehovah shall lay upon him, it shall be with tambours and harps; and with tumultuous battles will he fight with it.

Good News Bible
As the LORD strikes them again and again, his people will keep time with the music of drums and harps. God himself will fight against the Assyrians.

King James Version
And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with tabrets and harps: and in battles of shaking will he fight with it.
