After killing the lamb, dashing its blood upon the doorposts and then roasting the lamb, the Israelites were specifically warned to remain in their houses until morning. This sets up a physical impossibility for the 15th Passover folks. One cannot remain in one's house on the 14th and flee Egypt on exactly the same day.
