And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no1 form or comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no1 beauty that we should desire Him.
A Man of1 sorrows and bacquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and cwe did not esteem Him.
And carried our1 sorrows;
Yet we1 esteemed Him stricken,
1Smitten by God, and afflicted.
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His bstripes we are healed.
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord1 has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
Yet aHe opened not His mouth;
bHe was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.
And who will declare His generation?
For bHe was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any bdeceit in His mouth.
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul aan offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.
By His knowledge aMy righteous bServant shall cjustify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
bAnd He shall divide the1 spoil with the strong,
Because He cpoured out His soul unto death,
And He was dnumbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And emade intercession for the transgressors.

Isaiah 53:1
Who - Who, not only of the Gentiles, but even of the Jews, will believe the truth of what I say? And this premonition was highly necessary, both to caution the Jews that they should not stumble at this stone, and to instruct the Gentiles that they should not be seduced with their example. The arm - The Messiah, called the arm or power of God, because the almighty power of God was seated in him. Revealed - Inwardly and with power.
