Give glory to Jehovah your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the dark mountains, and, while ye look for light, he turn it into the shadow of death, and make it gross darkness.

Amplified® Bible
Give glory to the Lord your God before He brings darkness and before your feet stumble upon the dark {and} twilit mountains, and [before], while you are looking for light, He turns it into the shadow of death and makes it thick darkness.

Contemporary English Version
You hope for light, but God is sending darkness. Evening shadows already deepen in the hills. So return to God and confess your sins to him before you trip and fall.

Give glory to Jehovah your God, before he cause darkness, and before your feet stumble upon the mountains of twilight; and ye shall look for light, but he will turn it into the shadow of death, and make [it] gross darkness.
