O Jehovah, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be put to shame. They that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken Jehovah, the fountain of living waters.

Amplified® Bible
O Lord, the Hope of Israel, all who forsake You shall be put to shame. They who depart from You {and} me [Your prophet] shall [disappear like] writing upon the ground, because they have forsaken the Lord, the Fountain of living waters.

Contemporary English Version
You are a spring of water giving Israel life and hope. But if the people reject what you have told me, they will be swept away like words written in dust.

Darby English Version
Thou hope of Israel, Jehovah! all that forsake thee shall be ashamed. They that depart from me shall be written in the earth; because they have forsaken Jehovah, the fountain of living waters.

Good News Bible
LORD, you are Israel's hope; all who abandon you will be put to shame. They will disappear like names written in the dust, because they have abandoned you, the LORD, the spring of fresh water.
