The king of Babylon hath heard the tidings of them, and his hands wax feeble: anguish hath taken hold of him, `and' pangs as of a woman in travail.

Amplified® Bible
The king of Babylon has heard the news about them, and his hands fall feeble {and} helpless; anguish has seized him, and pangs like that of a woman in childbirth.

Contemporary English Version
Ever since your king heard about this army, he has been weak with fear; he twists and turns in pain like a woman giving birth.

Darby English Version
The king of Babylon hath heard the report of them, and his hands wax feeble; trouble hath taken hold of him, pangs as of a woman in travail.

Good News Bible
The king of Babylonia hears the news, and his hands hang limp. He is seized by anguish, by pain like a woman in labor.
