[I foresee this:] The land trembles and writhes in pain {and} sorrow, for the purposes of the Lord against Babylon stand--to make the land of Babylon a desolation without inhabitant.

The earth twists and turns in torment, because I have decided to make Babylonia a desert where no one can live, and I won't change my mind.

And the land trembleth and is in pain; for the purposes of Jehovah against Babylon do stand, to make the land of Babylon a desolation, without inhabitant.
