Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore she is become as an unclean thing; All that honored her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness: Yea, she sigheth, and turneth backward.

Amplified® Bible
Jerusalem has grievously sinned; therefore she has become an unclean thing {and} has been removed. All who honored her despise her, because they have seen her nakedness; yes, she herself groans {and} sighs and turns [her face] away.

Contemporary English Version
Jerusalem's horrible sins have made the city a joke. Those who once admired her now hate her instead-- she has been disgraced; she groans and turns away.

Darby English Version
Jerusalem hath grievously sinned; therefore is she removed as an impurity: all that honoured her despise her because they have seen her nakedness; and she sigheth, and turneth backward.

Good News Bible
Her honor is gone; she is naked and held in contempt. She groans and hides her face in shame. Jerusalem made herself filthy with terrible sin.
