Son of man, write thee the name of the day, `even' of this selfsame day: the king of Babylon drew close unto Jerusalem this selfsame day.

Son of man, record the name of the day, even of this same day; the king of Babylon set himself against {and} assailed Jerusalem this same day.

Contemporary English Version
Ezekiel, son of man, write down today's date, because the king of Babylonia has just begun attacking the city of Jerusalem.

Son of man, write thee the name of the day, of this selfsame day: on this selfsame day the king of Babylon draws near to Jerusalem.
