Wilt thou yet say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou art man, and not God, in the hand of him that woundeth thee.

Amplified® Bible
Will you still say, I am a god, before him who slays you? But you are only a man [made of earth] and no god in the hand of him who wounds {and} profanes you.

Contemporary English Version
When you face your enemies, will you still claim to be a god? They will attack, and you will suffer like any other human.

Darby English Version
Wilt thou then say before him that slayeth thee, I am God? but thou shalt be a man, and not ùGod, in the hand of him that pierceth thee.

When they come to kill you, will you still claim that you are a god? When you face your murderers, you will be mortal and not at all divine.
