Excerpted from: The OccultThe term "sorcerer," as commonly used, includes one who practices in the whole field of occultism. As such, it also includes a necromancer, who may be classified as a certain type of sorcerer. (We will get into what a necromancer is a little bit later.) Anciently, sorcery was the practice of the occult arts under the power of evil spirits, or demons. Today, however, sorcery is not always recognized as having a connection with evil spirits. But now it is associated with conjuring up methods to force nature to come to its aid. But God condemns to death people who practice sorcery!
