I will make thee a perpetual desolation, and thy cities shall not be inhabited; and ye shall know that I am Jehovah.

Amplified® Bible
I will make you a perpetual desolation and your cities shall not be inhabited. Then you will know, understand, {and} realize that I am the Lord [the Sovereign Ruler, Who calls forth loyalty and obedient service].

Contemporary English Version
and your land will lie in ruins forever. No one will live in your towns ever again. You will know that I am the LORD.
