therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I have sworn, `saying', Surely the nations that are round about you, they shall bear their shame.

Amplified® Bible
Therefore thus says the Lord God: I have lifted up My hand {and} sworn, Surely the nations that are round about you shall themselves suffer shame and reproach.

Contemporary English Version
so I will now insult and disgrace them. That is my solemn promise.

Darby English Version
therefore thus saith the Lord Jehovah: I have lifted up my hand, [saying,] Verily the nations that are about you, they shall bear their shame.

Good News Bible
I, the Sovereign LORD, solemnly promise that the surrounding nations will be humiliated.
