<< Ezekiel 47:17   Ezekiel 47:19 >>

American Standard Version
And the east side, between Hauran and Damascus and Gilead, and the land of Israel, shall be the Jordan; from the `north' border unto the east sea shall ye measure. This is the east side.

Amplified® Bible
And on the east side you shall measure the boundary from between Hauran and Damascus, and Gilead on one side and the land of Israel on the other, with the Jordan forming the boundary down to the East {or} Dead Sea. And this [from Damascus to the Dead Sea and including it] is the east side.

Contemporary English Version
The eastern border will begin on the border between the two kingdoms of Hauran and Damascus. It will run south along the Jordan River, which separates the territories of Gilead and Israel, and it will end at the Dead Sea near the town of Tamar.

Darby English Version
-- And on the east side ye shall measure between Hauran and Damascus, and Gilead and the land of Israel [by] the Jordan, from the border unto the east sea: this is the east side.

Good News Bible
"The eastern boundary runs south from a point between the territory of Damascus and that of Hauran, with the Jordan River forming the boundary between the land of Israel on the west and Gilead on the east, as far as Tamar on the Dead Sea.

King James Version
And the east side ye shall measure from Hauran, and from Damascus, and from Gilead, and from the land of Israel by Jordan, from the border unto the east sea. And this is the east side.

New American Standard Bible
"The east side, from between Hauran, Damascus, Gilead and the land of Israel, {shall be} the Jordan; from the {north} border to the eastern sea you shall measure. This is the east side.

New International Version
"On the east side the boundary will run between Hauran and Damascus, along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel, to the eastern sea and as far as Tamar. This will be the east boundary.

New King James Version
“On the east side you shall mark out the border from between Hauran and Damascus, and between Gilead and the land of Israel, along the Jordan, and along the eastern side of the sea. This is the east side.

N.A.S.B. in E-Prime
"The east side, from between Hauran, Damascus, Gilead and the land of Israel, shall consist of the Jordan; from the north border to the eastern sea you shall measure. This we identify as the east side.

Revised Standard Version
"On the east side, the boundary shall run from Hazar-e'non between Hauran and Damascus; along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel; to the eastern sea and as far as Tamar. This shall be the east side.

Young's Literal Translation
`And the east quarter `is' from between Havran, and Damascus, and Gilead, and the land of Israel, `to' the Jordan; from the border over-against the eastern sea ye measure: and `this is' the east quarter.
