Daniel 3:30
Compare all
28 Nebuchadnezzar spoke, saying, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, who sent His aAngel and delivered His servants who trusted in Him, and they have frustrated the king’s word, and yielded their bodies, that they should not serve nor worship any god except their own God!
29 aTherefore I make a decree that any people, nation, or language which speaks anything amiss against the bGod of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego shall be ccut in pieces, and their houses shall be made an ash heap; dbecause there is no other God who can deliver like this.”
30 Then the king1 promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego in the province of Babylon.

Daniel 3:30

Then the king promoted, etc. - He restored them to the offices which they held before the charge of disobedience and treason was brought against them.

At the end of this verse the Septuagint add, "And he advanced them to be governors over all the Jews that were in his kingdom." This may be the meaning of the latter verse. They were more likely to be set over the Jews than over the Chaldeans.
