American Standard Version
And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: and they beheld God, and did eat and drink.

Amplified® Bible
And upon the nobles of the Israelites He laid not His hand [to conceal Himself from them, to rebuke their daring, or to harm them]; but they saw [the manifestation of the presence of] God, and ate and drank.

Contemporary English Version
Even though these leaders of Israel saw God, he did not punish them. So they ate and drank.

Darby English Version
And on the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: they saw God, and ate and drank.

Good News Bible
God did not harm these leading men of Israel; they saw God, and then they ate and drank together.

King James Version
And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.
