American Standard Version
Then shall he return into his land with great substance; and his heart `shall be' against the holy covenant; and he shall do `his pleasure', and return to his own land.

Amplified® Bible
Then shall [the vile conqueror from the North] return into his land with much booty; and his heart {and} purpose shall be set against [God's] holy covenant [with His people], and he shall accomplish [his malicious intention] and return to his own land [Syria].

Contemporary English Version
Then the king of the north will return to his country with great treasures. But on the way, he will attack the religion of God's people and do whatever else he pleases.

Darby English Version
And he shall return into his land with great substance; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall practise, and return to his own land.

Good News Bible
The king of Syria will return home with all the loot he has captured, determined to destroy the religion of God's people. He will do as he pleases and then return to his own land.

King James Version
Then shall he return into his land with great riches; and his heart shall be against the holy covenant; and he shall do exploits, and return to his own land.

New American Standard Bible
"Then he will return to his land with much plunder; but his heart will be {set} against the holy covenant, and he will take action and {then} return to his {own} land.

New International Version
The king of the North will return to his own country with great wealth, but his heart will be set against the holy covenant. He will take action against it and then return to his own country.

New King James Version
While returning to his land with great riches, his heart shall be moved against the holy covenant; so he shall do damage and return to his own land.
