Impenitence of Israel and Judah
O Judah, what shall I do to you?
For your faithfulness is like a morning cloud,
And like the early dew it goes away.
I have slain them by athe words of My mouth;
And1 your judgments are like light that goes forth.
So the company of apriests bmurder on the way to Shechem;
Surely they commit clewdness.
There is the1 harlotry of Ephraim;
Israel is defiled.

Hosea 6:6
I desired mercy, and not sacrifice - I taught them righteousness by my prophets; for I desired mercy. I was more willing to save than to destroy; and would rather see them full of penitent and holy resolutions, than behold them offering the best and most numerous victims upon my altar. See Matthew 9:13.
