Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, Is the Spirit of Jehovah straitened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

O house of Jacob, shall it be said, Is the Spirit of the Lord restricted, impatient, {and} shortened? Or are these [prophesied plagues] His doings? Do not My words do good to him who walks uprightly?

Descendants of Jacob, is it right for you to claim that the LORD did what he did because he was angry? Doesn't he always bless those who do right?

O thou [that art] named the house of Jacob, Is Jehovah impatient? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
