Articles, Bible studies, and sermons that contain Matthew 9:36:
Matthew 9:35-36
Excerpted from: Mercy Triumphs Over Judgment! In Greek, the term for compassion literally means to be moved in one's bowels. It is not a bowel movement, it is to be moved in one's bowels (I could not resist that), referring to the gut feeling we have about someone or something. If we were expressing it in English, we might say His heart went out to the people or they broke His heart. So we can then view each story of exorcism, healing, and forgiveness by Jesus as a small part of divine mercy. God's mercy extends to the afflicted, the needy, the poor, and the sinners.
