A bruised reed shall he not break, And smoking flax shall he not quench, Till he send forth judgment unto victory.

Amplified® Bible
A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering (dimly burning) wick He will not quench, till He brings justice {and} a just cause to victory.

Contemporary English Version
He won't break off a bent reed or put out a dying flame, but he will make sure that justice is done.

Darby English Version
a bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, until he bring forth judgment unto victory;
