They rejected the very sign Christ himself gave that he was the Messiah. He said that He would be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth and they inserted their Good Friday crucifixion, Easter Sunday resurrection tradition. Do you remember Jesus degrading the Jews? It's recorded in Mark 7:7, a verse that everybody ought to have right in the forefront of their mind. It's so easy to remember. The combination of sevens: Mark 7, verse 7, where He said, "in vain do you worship me, teaching for doctrine the commandments of men, making the commandments of God of none effect by your traditions."
