American Standard Version
And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honor, save in his own country, and in his own house.

Amplified® Bible
And they took offense at Him [they were repelled and hindered from acknowledging His authority, and caused to stumble]. But Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honor except in his own country and in his own house.

Contemporary English Version
So the people were very unhappy because of what he was doing. But Jesus said, "Prophets are honored by everyone, except the people of their hometown and their own family."

Darby English Version
And they were offended in him. And Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honour, unless in his country and in his house.

Good News Bible
And so they rejected him. Jesus said to them, "A prophet is respected everywhere except in his hometown and by his own family."
