Matthew 26:20-25
Excerpted from: The Essence of Servant Leadership

Just as an aside before we turn to Luke, please note in verse 22 all the disciples addressed Christ as Lord, while in verse 25 Judas addressed Him as Rabbi. It is interesting because it gives us a sense of Judas' commitment. The others looked at Christ as one with supreme authority, while it indicates Judas' perspective did not fully see Christ as the Messiah who fulfilled all the prophecy of God's Word. Although this is surely something that needs a complete sermon by itself, perhaps the following cited section from a word study on "rabbi" might help put Judas' perspective on Jesus in view.
