Mark 4:40
Compare all
38 But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, a“Teacher, bdo You not care that we are perishing?”
39 Then He arose and arebuked the wind, and said to the sea, b“Peace, be still!” And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
40 But He said to them, “Why are you so fearful? aHow is it that you have no faith?”
41 And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, “Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!”

Mark 4:40

Why are ye fearful? (Ti deiloi este). They had the Lord of the wind and the waves with them in the boat. He was still Master even if asleep in the storm.

Have ye not yet faith? (Oupw exete pistin). Not yet had they come to feel that Jesus was really Lord of nature. They had accepted his Messiaship, but all the conclusions from it they had not yet drawn. How like us in our troubles they were!
