American Standard Version
there is nothing from without the man, that going into him can defile him; but the things which proceed out of the man are those that defile the man.

Amplified® Bible
There is not [even] one thing outside a man which by going into him can pollute {and} defile him; but the things which come out of a man are what defile him {and} make him unhallowed {and} unclean.
