24 And He said to them, “This is My blood of the¹ new covenant, which is shed for many.

25 Assuredly, I say to you, I will no longer drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.”

26 ^aAnd when they had sung¹ a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial

27 ^aThen Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble¹ because of Me this night, for it is written:
^b‘I will strike the Shepherd,
And the sheep will be scattered.’

28 “But ^aafter I have been raised, I will go before you to Galilee.”
