but Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother's wife, and for all the evil things which Herod had done,

But Herod the tetrarch, who had been [repeatedly] told about his fault {and} reproved {with} rebuke producing conviction by [John] for [having] Herodias, his brother's wife, and for all the wicked things that Herod had done,

But to Herod the ruler, he said, "It was wrong for you to take Herodias, your brother's wife." John also said that Herod had done many other bad things.

But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him as to Herodias, the wife of his brother, and as to all the wicked things which Herod had done,

But John reprimanded Governor Herod, because he had married Herodias, his brother's wife, and had done many other evil things.
