Luke 6:32
Compare all
30 aGive to everyone who asks of you. And from him who takes away your goods do not ask them back.
31 aAnd just as you want men to do to you, you also do to them likewise.
32 a“But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.
33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.
34 aAnd if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back.

Luke 6:32-35

So the money we give others should be treated as a gift, not a high interest loan that benefits us more than them. Give it as though you are giving to God.

Love means action, and one way to put love into practice is to take the initiative to meet specific needs, and this is easy with people we trust. But love means doing so even for those who dislike us or intend to hurt us.
