Luke 8:32
A herd of many swine (agelh xoirwn ikanwn). Word
herd (agelh) old as Homer, but in N.T. only here and parallels (Mark 5:11; Matthew 8:30). Luke shows his fondness for adjective ikanov here again (see verse Luke 8:27) where Mark has megalh and Matthew pollwn.
