But he, knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and a house `divided' against a house falleth.

Amplified® Bible
But He, [well] aware of their intent {and} purpose, said to them, Every kingdom split up against itself is doomed {and} brought to desolation, and so house falls upon house. [The disunited household will collapse.]

Contemporary English Version
Jesus knew what they were thinking, and he said: A kingdom where people fight each other will end up in ruin. And a family that fights will break up.

Darby English Version
But *he*, knowing their thoughts, said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation: and a house set against a house falls;

But Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he said to them, "Any country that divides itself into groups which fight each other will not last very long; a family divided against itself falls apart.
