American Standard Version
Now he is not the God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

Amplified® Bible
Now He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to Him all men are alive [whether in the body or out of it] {and} they are alive [not dead] unto Him [in definite relationship to Him].

Contemporary English Version
So the Lord isn't the God of the dead, but of the living. This means that everyone is alive as far as God is concerned.
