60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are saying!” Immediately, while he was still speaking,¹ the rooster crowed.

61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then ^aPeter remembered the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, ^b“Before the rooster crows, you will deny Me three times.”

62 So Peter went out and wept bitterly.

63 ^aNow the men who held Jesus mocked Him and ^bbeat Him.

64 ¹And having blindfolded Him, they ^astruck Him on the face and asked Him, saying, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck You?”

And Peter went out - The word Peter is omitted by BDKLM, and many other good MSS., with some of the ancient versions. Griesbach leaves it out of the text.
