And when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man.

Now the centurion, having seen what had taken place, recognized God {and} thanked {and} praised Him, and said, Indeed, without question, this Man was upright (just and innocent)!

When the Roman officer saw what had happened, he praised God and said, "Jesus must really have been a good man!"

Now the centurion, seeing what took place, glorified God, saying, In very deed this man was just.
