And they constrained him, saying, Abide with us; for it is toward evening, and the day is now far spent. And he went in to abide with them.

But they urged {and} insisted, saying to Him, Remain with us, for it is toward evening, and the day is now far spent. So He went in to stay with them.

Contemporary English Version
They begged him, "Stay with us! It's already late, and the sun is going down." So Jesus went into the house to stay with them.

And they constrained him, saying, Stay with us, for it is toward evening and the day is declining. And he entered in to stay with them.

but they held him back, saying, "Stay with us; the day is almost over and it is getting dark." So he went in to stay with them.
