Robertson's Word Pictures (NT)
That which is born (to gegennhmenon). Perfect passive articular participle. The sharp contrast between flesh (sarc) and Spirit (pneuma), drawn already in John 1:13, serves to remind Nicodemus of the crudity of his question in John 3:4 about a second physical birth.
Other Robertson's Word Pictures (NT) entries containing John 3:6:
John 3:5
John 6:63
Acts 2:2
1 John 2:29
1 John 3:13
1 John 5:4
