John 10:38

36 do you say of Him ^awhom the Father sanctified and ^bsent into the world, ‘You are blaspheming,’ ^cbecause I said, ‘I am ^dthe Son of God’?

37 ^aIf I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me;

38 but if I do, though you do not believe Me, ^abelieve the works, that you may know and¹ believe ^bthat the Father is in Me, and I in Him.”

39 ^aTherefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.

40 And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place ^awhere John was baptizing at first, and there He stayed.

That ye may know and believe - In some a more exact knowledge precedes, in others it follows faith. I am in the Father and the Father in me. I and the Father are one - These two sentences illustrate each other.
