Acts 2:21

19 ^aI will show wonders in heaven above
And signs in the earth beneath:
Blood and fire and vapor of smoke.

20 ^aThe sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.

21 And it shall come to pass
That ^awhoever calls on the name of the Lord
Shall be saved.’

22 “Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man attested by God to you ^aby miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know—

23 Him, ^abeing delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God, ^byou have taken by lawless hands, have crucified, and put to death;

Whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved - The predicted ruin is now impending; and only such as receive the Gospel of the Son of God shall be saved. And that none but the Christians did escape, when God poured out these judgments, is well known; and that All the Christians did escape, not one of them perishing in these devastations, stands attested by the most respectable authority.
