Acts 10:2

Acts 10:2 [A] devout [man]. This is stated of Gentiles in several places in Acts (Acts 10:7 13:50 17:4,17), and always means those who had abandoned heathenism and turned to Jehovah. They had not become Jews, but were trying to worship the One God. The greater part of the first Gentile converts were made up of this class. He was benevolent and a man of prayer.
