Adam Clarke
Him God raised up the third day - He lay long enough under the power of death to Proverbs that he was dead; and not too long, lest it should be supposed that his disciples had time sufficient to have practiced some deceit or imposture; and, to prevent this, the Jews took care to have the tomb well guarded during the whole time which he lay there.
