American Standard Version
And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the burnt-offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

Amplified® Bible
And he shall lay [both] his hands upon the head of the burnt offering [transferring symbolically his guilt to the victim], and it shall be an acceptable atonement for him.

Contemporary English Version
Lay your hand on its head, and I will accept the animal as a sacrifice for taking away your sins.

And he shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt-offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.
