They all wept sore (ikanov klauqmov egeneto pantwn). Literally, There came considerable weeping of all (on the part of all, genitive case).
Kissed him (katefiloun auton). Imperfect active of katafilew, old verb, intensive with kata and repetition shown also by the tense: They kept on kissing or kissed repeatedly, probably one after the other falling on his neck. Cf. also Matthew 26:49.
