16 aThis being so, I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men.  
17 “Now after many years aI came to bring alms and offerings to my nation,  
18 ain the midst of which some Jews from Asia found me bpurified in the temple, neither with a mob nor with tumult.  
19 aThey ought to have been here before you to object if they had anything against me.  
20 Or else let those who are here themselves say1 if they found any wrongdoing in me while I stood before the council,

Acts 24:18

Certain Jews from Asia - Acts 21:27.

Found me purified in the temple - Acts 21:26-27. They found me engaged in the sacred service of completing the observance of my vow.

Neither with multitude - Not having introduced a multitude with me - in a quiet and peaceful manner.
