Then were they all of good cheer (euqumoi de genomenoi). More exactly, "Then all becoming cheerful," because of Paul's words and conduct.
Took food (proselabonto trofhv). Partitive genitive here (some food), not accusative as verse Acts 27:33. Paul's courage was contagious.
