For the love of the Spirit - By that love of God which the Holy Spirit sheds abroad in your hearts. That ye strive together - That ye agonize with me. He felt that much depended on the success of his present mission to the Christians at Jerusalem, and their acceptance of the charitable contribution which he was bringing with him, in order to conciliate them to the reception of the Gentiles into the Church of God without obliging them to submit to circumcision.
