1 Corinthians 6:8

6 But brother goes to law against brother, and that before unbelievers!
7 Now therefore, it is already an utter failure for you that you go to law against one another. aWhy do you not rather accept wrong? Why do you not rather let yourselves be cheated?  
8 No, you yourselves do wrong and cheat, and you do these things to your brethren!
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. aNeither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor1 homosexuals, nor sodomites,  
10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.
11 And such were asome of you. bBut you were washed, but you were1 sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.  

Glorify God in Body and Spirit

12 aAll things are lawful for me, but all things are not1 helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of2 any.

1 Corinthians 6:8

Nay, ye do wrong ... - Instead of enduring wrong patiently and cheerfully. they were themselves guilty oi injustice and fraud.

And that your brethren - Your fellow Christians. As if they had injured those of their own family - those to whom they ought to be attached by most tender ties. The offence in such cases is aggravated, not because it is in itself any worse to injure a Christian than another man, but because it shows a deeper depravity, when a man overcomes all the ties of kindness and love, and injures those who are near to him, than it does where no such ties exist. It is for this reason that parricide, infanticide, etc. are regarded everywhere as crimes of special atrocity, because a child or a parent must have severed all the tenderest cords of virtue before it could be done.
