1 Corinthians 6:13
Compare all
11 And such were asome of you. bBut you were washed, but you were1 sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Glorify God in Body and Spirit

12 aAll things are lawful for me, but all things are not1 helpful. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of2 any.
13 aFoods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for bsexual immorality but cfor the Lord, dand the Lord for the body.
14 And aGod both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up bby His power.
15 Do you not know that ayour bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not!
16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For a“the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.”
17 aBut he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
18 aFlee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins bagainst his own body.
19 Or ado you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, band you are not your own?
20 For ayou were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body1 and in your spirit, which are God’s.

Food [is intended] for the stomach and the stomach for food, but God will finally end [the functions of] both {and} bring them to nothing. Contemporary English Version
You also say, "Food is meant for our bodies, and our bodies are meant for food." But I tell you that God will destroy them both. We are not supposed to do indecent things with our bodies. We are to use them for the Lord who is in charge of our bodies.

Darby English Version
Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats; but God will bring to nothing both it and them: but the body [is] not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Good News Bible
Someone else will say, "Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food." Yes; but God will put an end to both. The body is not to be used for sexual immorality, but to serve the Lord; and the Lord provides for the body.

International Standard Version
Food is for the stomach, and the stomach is for food, but God will put an end to both of them. The body is not meant for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

King James Version
Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

Food is for the stomach and the stomach is for food, but God will do away with both of them. Yet the body is not for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord is for the body.

"Food for the stomach and the stomach for food"—but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Foods for the stomach and the stomach for foods, but God will destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for sexual immorality but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

Food belongs to the stomach and the stomach craves food, but God will do away with both of them Yet the body you should not use for immorality, but for the Lord, and the body belongs to the Lord.

the meats `are' for the belly, and the belly for the meats. And God both this and these shall make useless; and the body `is' not for whoredom, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body;
