I Corinthians 10:14-15
Excerpted from: Government (Part Six)What is he doing here? He is showing a general pattern of the way that he operates. We could use the entire book of I Corinthians—where he appeals to people through strong spiritual arguments and reasoning. He teaching was strong and clear, but it was not dictatorial. He pleads with these people to think—to use their minds, to use the knowledge of God, of the Word of God. And to see if, indeed, the reasons and arguments that he was giving to these people were correct. "I speak as to wise men; judge for yourself what I say."
I Corinthians 10:14-15
Excerpted from: Government (Part Seven)"Judge for yourselves." He is appealing to their reason. His teaching was strong and clear, but it was not dictatorial. He appeals to them with strong spiritual arguments and logic. He appeals to them to think.
I Corinthians 10:14
Excerpted from: Passover and I Corinthians 10There is the main subject right there. Flee from idolatry. Lusting, fornication, tempting Christ, murmuring—all of these were aspects that led to idolatry.
