American Standard Version
But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we may not be condemned with the world.

Amplified® Bible
But when we [fall short and] are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined {and} chastened, so that we may not [finally] be condemned [to eternal punishment along] with the world.

But when the Lord judges and punishes us, he does it to keep us from being condemned with the rest of the world.
