1 Corinthians 15:35

33 Do not be deceived: ^a“Evil company corrupts good habits.”

34 ^aAwake to righteousness, and do not sin; ^bfor some do not have the knowledge of God. ^cI speak this to your shame.

A Glorious Body

35 But someone will say, ^a“How are the dead raised up? And with what body do they come?”

36 Foolish one, ^awhat you sow is not made alive unless it dies.

37 And what you sow, you do not sow that body that shall be, but mere grain—perhaps wheat or some other grain.

38 But God gives it a body as He pleases, and to each seed its own body.

39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind¹ of flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.

But some man will say - . It is very likely that the apostle, by some, some one, some man, means particularly the false apostle, or teacher at Corinth, who was chief in the opposition to the pure doctrine of the Gospel, and to whom, in this covert way, he often refers.

The second part of the apostle' s discourse begins at this verse. What shall be the nature of the resurrection body?

1.The question is stated, I Corinthians 15:35.

2.It is answered:

first, by a similitude, I Corinthians 15:36-38;

secondly, by an application, I Corinthians 15:33-41; and

thirdly, by explication, I Corinthians 15:42-50.
